Only a few new beta updates for A Valley Without Wind this week, but they add and/or improve upon quite a vast amount of stuff. So much in fact, that we’re already gearing up for 1.2 official sometime in the first part of July. If you’re wondering how we got from 1.1 to 1.2 this fast, following the lengthy 1.0 to 1.1 development stint, Chris goes into detail in the latest beta update summary.
In other indie/self-promotion news, I’ve kicked off a new video interview/preview series on Indie Game Magazine called Indie-View (best name ever right?). I play host and Kevin Harland, the man responsible for putting together AVWW’s trailers, does the shooting/editing. Our first episode stars Matt Gilgenbach of 24 Caret Games and his game Retro/Grade. We’re hoping to have a new segment with a different developer and game once or twice a month, we’ll see how it goes.
Here’s new Valley press (with some AI War and Tidalis sprinkled in):
AIGameDev — Procedural Side-Scrolling Action in A VALLEY WITHOUT WIND (Podcast, Subscription Required)
My Gamer — Play Great, Spend Less at Steam With Awesome Budget Games (AVWW, AI War, and Tidalis featured)
The Nerd Train — Episode 43 (Podcast)
