| Description | In the attached save file, you will see that although you can view and construct the Mark IV units in a space dock, the maximum Mark IV units of any ship is 0 (0 of 0 in service). An advanced starship constructor was hacked, but not an advanced space dock. I believe this is a bug and that only the Mark IV starships should appear until an advanced space dock is hacked. | ||||

last i was aware the interface updates added the level 4 ships( in addition to all other not unlocked marks) to the picture regardless of unlock. adding them to the queue will never build them since they are at their "cap". i believe it was done for consistency and to allow help tooltip to plan upgrades. |

That may be true, but should it not show the level 4 ship as greyed out (i.e., not yet unlocked) if the per-requisites for its construction are not met? All of the ships for which I only had Mark II available show the Mark III and Mark IV variants disabled. I had Mark III torpedo frigates, and their Mark IV variant is displayed as though I can build them, but they cannot be built because it is at the ship cap of 0. |
