Summary0018901: Room randomness?
DescriptionAre there any plans to add some randomness to the handcrafted rooms? Spelunky made it's rooms lot less obviously repetitive by having optional blocks that each had 50% chance of not appearing, will there be anything like that in this game?

Something like tagging set of walls as optional or maybe just individual props.

Somewhat, yes -- there will be certain goodies and so forth. There are already holes in walls and floors and whatnot that appear sometimes versus othertimes not. To some extent we're going for memorable over just switching around the drapes, though, so we're trying to put what manpower we have into the things that matter most -- whole new rooms, enemy arrangements in rooms, etc.

Enemy setups that vary by room are very much planned.
