If there haven't been any waves after 3 hours it's unlikely that there will be any, no. This suggests that you're up against defensive AI types that don't launch waves. If you'd like me to verify this I can do so if you post your save game. It is possible to alter the AI types that you're up against if this is a problem for you. short update: AI types are 2 and 5
22|8|968347|3|AI 1 - Random Moderate (7,6 Diff)|-65536||0|31129A|2| 22|9|327616|3|AI 2 - Random Moderate (7,6 Diff)|-11468800||0|31129A|5| correspondingly Vicious_Raider, //planets all moderately defended, does heavy attacks on players Assassin, //planets all moderately defended, harasses the strongest player with prejudice
sounds like they are supposed to raid?

Yes, both of those AI types are supposed to launch waves. The only other possibility I can think of is if the 'No Enemy Waves' modifier was enabled when the game was launched, failing that, it might be a bug.
Can you confirm which version of AI War you're running, and post the relevant save game? Thanks.

I tried loading the save and I'm getting formatting errors, maybe from it not downloading properly from the hosting place (I got two different file sizes from downloading it twice, neither version worked). Could you attach it to a post here? Thanks Keith

................................. seriously. No where in this thread do you mention CPAs until now. CPA's are SUPPOSED to be rare. They tend to kill players more often than not. be THANKFUL you havent seen any yet. Although on a snake map it doesnt really matter that much :\

Yes and no. In the last three or four games I have played - 3.027 and 3.028, both SP and MP - I have had a feeling that the CPAs have been nerfed - one game it took almost three hours before I saw the first one. As I remember it, they were more frequent before. But when they finally come, they are their old devastating selves.
I ought to count myself lucky, as I have had a lot of trouble with CPAs. But now I have a tactic, that seems to be able counter them most of the time (drop whatever you are doing and run straight for home when you get the alert), so it is actually a bit dissapointing when CPAs are not coming.

It may or may not be relevant, but for the 3.0 release cross planet attacks were made less frequent, but much more deadly.

Kaptein, just to make sure, you are getting normal waves but not Cross Planet Attacks? Just confirming because if you aren't getting any waves at all then there's a fairly serious bug at work
